Parkour
A fast-paced platformer where players race through a procedurally generated obstacle course, aiming for the best time on a global leaderboard in async PvP.
My Role: Game Designer
As a Game Designer, my work focused on ensuring fluid movement, well-balanced procedural generation, and a satisfying difficulty curve. My main contributions included:
Level Module Design & Progression: Designed and balanced multiple course modules, ensuring they offered a smooth yet progressively challenging experience. Adjusted the spawn logic to create fair yet unpredictable course variations.
Character Controller & Movement: Fine-tuned the player movement system, focusing on precision, responsiveness, and fluidity, ensuring jumps and sprints felt natural and rewarding, but most importantly precise.
Cross-Platform Balancing: Balanced camera, movement, and obstacle difficulty to maintain a consistent experience across both desktop and mobile. Since mobile controls inherently have less precision, obstacles had to be designed in a way that made the game challenging but still fair on both platforms.
Challenges & Ongoing Development
One of the toughest design challenges was ensuring parity between desktop and mobile gameplay. A movement system that felt great on keyboard and mouse could easily become frustrating on touch controls, and vice versa. Through extensive iteration, I adjusted camera behavior, jump timing, and obstacle design to create an experience that remained engaging and fair across all platforms.
The game has been well-received, with players enjoying the competitive time-trial aspect. Many have requested a multiplayer mode similar to Fall Guys, so we are currently designing a new game mode, introducing player-versus-player mechanics while retaining the parkour challenge. Since multiplayer changes the core gameplay dynamics, this mode will feature a slightly different design while staying true to the game’s fast-paced nature.

Outcome & Future Updates
With strong player engagement, Parkour continues to evolve. The upcoming multiplayer mode will introduce a new dimension to the gameplay, allowing players to compete head-to-head in a race to the finish.
