My Role: Creative Director

As the Creative Director, I was responsible for translating the client’s vision into an engaging and educational game, ensuring both creative and technical alignment within the team. My key contributions included:

  • Client Communication & Vision Implementation: Acted as the bridge between Acer Italia and the development team, translating their requirements into a cohesive gameplay experience.

  • Game Concept & Foundation: Designed the core mechanics, characters, and interactions, ensuring they resonated with the young target audience while maintaining educational value.

  • Gameplay Tuning & Engagement: Balanced fun and learning, fine-tuning difficulty and pacing to keep kids entertained while delivering meaningful messages about marine wildlife and pollution awareness.

  • Team Coordination & Workflow Management: Scheduled regular check-ins with team leads, keeping production on track and fostering collaboration across departments.

Challenges & Solutions

Designing for a young audience required rethinking traditional game design principles to make mechanics intuitive and accessible. The biggest challenge was blending education with entertainment, ensuring the message about sea pollution was effectively conveyed without disrupting the rhythm-based gameplay. By iterating on interaction design and testing with the target audience, we achieved a balanced and engaging experience.

Tools & Software Used

  • Google Suite (Documentation & Client Communication)

  • Trello (Project Management & Scheduling)

Outcome
